SHOCK & VIBRATION
Vibration can be an undesired effect of poor product design or the environment in which the product is operating. It can have a greater impact on durability and fatigue, leading to a shorter service life. Design of the product should be optimum which can provide healthy response to vibrations from phenomena such as brake squeal, earthquakes, machine loading, transport, harmonic and acoustics. Mechanical vibration analysis helps to understand and overcome the problem caused due to vibration.
WHAT WE DO?
Frequency response analysis in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is used to calculate the steady-state response due to a sinusoidal load applied to a structure at a single frequency.
Damping is a phenomenon that makes any vibrating body/structure to decay in amplitude of motion gradually by means of energy dissipation through various mechanisms.
